Community Potluck & Live Band at Ethos Farm
Ethos Farm to Health, 177 W Mill Rd, Long Valley, NJ 07853Join Ethos Farm to Health, Princeton Eats Plants, Plant Based New Jersey, and Plant Powered Metro New York for a special harvest potluck celebrating the season with wholesome dishes, live music, and community.
After the potluck, enjoy a performance by the Long Hill String Band, whose lively old-time Appalachian music — featuring fiddle, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and guitar — will create the perfect soundtrack for an evening on the farm.
Please bring a whole food, plant-based dish to share, made with whole grains, beans, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Please avoid animal products, vegan processed foods, white flours, and added oils, and keep added sweeteners and salt to a minimum. It’s a good rule of thumb to double a recipe you would make at home — everyone will want to try it!
In addition, please bring a printed list of ingredients or recipe, a serving utensil for your dish, your own plate, utensils, and water bottle to help us make this a low-waste event.
Free parking is available on-site. Please note that food cannot be warmed on the premises, and restroom facilities are limited to a portable restroom.

LaGuardia Community College, Building M, Entrance at 31-10 Thomson Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101The future of sustainable eating isn’t new — it’s something we can rediscover by learning from one another’s food traditions.
Drawing on New York City’s incredible cultural diversity, Plant Powered Metro New York invites community members to gather around your neighbor’s table for Climate Week NYC, held in conjunction with the UN General Assembly. Meet community chefs representing cultures from around the world who have prepared dishes made of whole plant foods, rooted in their heritage. Rotate from table to table sampling flavors, collecting recipes, hearing the stories behind each dish, and learning the powerful benefits of plant-based eating for environmental and human health. Along the way, you’ll discover that while every culture has its own unique culinary traditions, many share a common thread of delicious, nourishing plant foods and meals.
Plants have nourished communities for generations, and the cultivation of plant foods has a dramatically gentler environmental footprint than large-scale animal agriculture. Your Neighbor’s Table is a celebration of the many ways plant-powered eating has long been woven into cultures from around the world, centering beans, grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, herbs, and spices.
We invite you to rediscover the wisdom found across cultures and leave with delicious and practical strategies (and recipes!) to support your health and the health of our planet for generations to come.
Stay tuned to learn more about our featured guests and chefs!
Doors open at 5:30 PM, and the program will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.
